'O Mary, we crown thee with blossoms today,
Queen of the Angels and Queen of the May.'
The month of May is dedicated to Our Lady, Mary. To mark this, on Friday 26th May, Year 3 led our annual May Procession where we crowned a statue of Our Lady with a garland of flowers. It was a reverent and moving act of worship.
Thank you to parents and pupils for the beautiful flowers you brought in honour of Our Lady.
Eva - I thought the CCS Advent Service was very professional and well planned.
The staff took us to our seats. Dozens of schools participated and it was a very magical atmosphere. The Choir sang beautifully. One of the primary schools told the story and a live donkey and goat took part!
My favourite part was meeting Bishop Hudson – he was very kind!
Overall, it was an amazing experience and I am so happy I took part.
Louie - Going to the Cathedral was an amazing experience. Everyone took part in the Advent Service. My favourite part was the singing and meeting the donkey and the goat. I am so glad I took part in this service.
