Spending/Planned Spending 2017 - 2018

Sports Premium 2017/18

End of Year update/impact

This year St Cross has been part of many sporting successes! Our strong, varied sporting curriculum, coupled with our extensive range of extra curricular activities over the past two years, have really developed our pupils both individually and as team players. This has been evident in our successes competitively and through the general high standards achieved in lessons.

As a result of the Sports Premium funding we continue to offer a wide range of after school activities that appeal to children that might not usually take part in sporting activities.

There have been several sports focused days, which have included a day at the Tottenham Hotspur training ground, ‘Give Your School the Run Around’ project, Kwik Cricket festival, Tag rugby festival, Athletics festival, District Sports, Sports Day, numerous netball and football tournaments for Years 1-6, as well as a cycle of friendly netball and football matches with local schools.

The teaching and learning of PE has been significantly enhanced by our experienced sports coach. This has helped teachers improve their own practice.

Our MSA’s are central to initiating play at lunchtimes and resources are monitored and updated regularly.
